Food Gift Packaging

What should buyers prepare for chocolate and food gift packaging quotes?

By BLF Packaging · Published · Updated

For a chocolate, honey or seasonal food gift quote, send the count, size and weight of the individually packed items, the proposed arrangement, quantity and arrival deadline. Identify which components touch food and which only hold already packed products. This page covers paper outer packaging; direct food-contact materials and documentation are confirmed separately for the exact project.

Check the gift arrangement with real contents

A honey jar set and a chocolate assortment should not be specified only by the same outer box dimensions. Check compartment clearance, item movement, finger access and how the closed lid sits over the products. A window changes the construction and should be reviewed together with the rest of the box.

Show how the gift box will be packed for shipping. A presentation box alone does not establish transit protection or temperature control. Agree the separate transport and product-storage requirements for the actual shipment.

Confirm before the seasonal artwork is finalized

  • Use the final wrapped product or jar dimensions, including closures and labels.
  • Confirm every component and artwork version in the sample review.
  • Identify required market documentation early; a paper-box image does not establish compliance.
  • Separate sample approval, production, dispatch and required arrival dates.
